Today is the day, around 11:07 am Omaha time Mary swims the 100 meter butterfly. Her best time is a 1:01.86 done on May 13th. She would like to go 28.5 or faster out and come back as hard as she can. The first event of the day is the men’s 400 IM and this features Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte as the top two swimmers. There is no automatics at the trials so we see if they both are on their game. Tyler Clary is also inn the hunt.
The men also have the 100 breast which should be intense with Brendan Hanson,Mark Gangloff, Mike Alexandrov and Eric Shanteau. Look for Scott Weltz to show his speed though he is looking more to the 200 breaststroke
The other event for men is the 400 free where we will see what Peter Vanderkay, Matt McLean, Charlie Houchin, Michaeal Khuch and Chad La Tourette can do.
The women have the 400 IM also with Elisabeth Beisel, Caitlin Levernz and Katie Hoff. The other swimmer we will be watching for is Maya Dorado.
