Swim Lessons

Lessons are held during the summer at either Lodi High or Tokay High

Child - 10 station learn to swim based on the “Swim America” swim lesson program. Beginning with blowing bubbles through the skills needed to swim the Individual Medley (all 4 strokes, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly). Learning to float, balance, and blow bubbles in the water is a major part of the beginning stages of learning to swim.

Age Group Swim Lessons - Beginning with learning to be comfortable in the water, blowing bubbles through the skills needed to swim the Individual Medley (all 4 strokes, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly). Learning to float, balance, and blow bubbles in the water is a major part of the beginning stages of learning to swim. Learning how to grow from a novice swimmer to an advanced level, we teach it all.

Adult Swim Lessons - in a one on one lesson, adults will work to be comfortable in the water and learn to put their face in the water. Once a comfort level is found, the basics of floating and then starting to swim will be taught. Adults will be able to progress at their own speed to attain their personal comfort and skill level.

Triathlon 101 - the program is for the novice to advance triathlete. All 3 sports, and their transitions, will be covered during these series of classes. The main emphasis is to develop the swimming skills of the athlete, as that is generally the weakest event for a triathlete. Working on open water swimming and learning to be relaxed in an open water event will be practiced at local lakes. The transition from the swim to the bike as well as the transition from the bike to the run will be covered in depth. The technical skills of riding, cornering, climbing and descending will be practiced and improved upon. Finally, an end of class triathlon competition will serve as graduation from Triathlon 101.
